3.2g Vetting and Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Checks
This document explains the application of the current vetting and barring regulations to outdoor learning, off site visits and learning outside the classroom. It gives advice about when staff and volunteers may be engaging in regulated activity.
However, it must be clearly understood that a DBS check (or other vetting and barring procedure), on its own, is not a guarantee as to the suitability of an adult to work with any given group of young or vulnerable people.
