Did you know that if you drive abroad, your vehicle must now have a UK identifier?
If your number plate has any of the following:
you must display a UK sticker clearly on the rear of the vehicle. If you are driving in Spain, Cyprus or Malta, you must display a UK sticker no matter what is on your number plate. If you have a GB sticker, you must cover or remove it before driving outside the UK.
We have amended OEAP National Guidance document 4.5b Transport in Minibuses accordingly.

We have revised OEAP National Guidance document 4.5b Transport in Minibuses to update the section on towing a trailer, and to make clear that although the document focuses on minibuses, much of it is also relevant to smaller vehicles such as people carriers and nine-seater vans.

Choosing one coach company from another may seem a difficult task if you have no specialist transport knowledge. However, there are are ways to provide some assurance of suitability, and we have created a new checklist: 4.5f Checklist – Assessing a Coach Hire Provider to help you.

We have updated 4.5a Transport – General Considerations to include advice on choosing the most appropriate form of transport and to include advice on parents providing transport. We have also updated 4.5e Hiring a Coach to include a link to Government advice.

As a result of a recent Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) ruling of a prohibition order against a head teacher, we have revisited National Guidance document 4.5c Transport in Private Cars to ensure that our advice on a member of staff transporting a young person alone in their car is as clear as possible and cannot be misinterpreted.
