Education Scotland (2022): Successful Approaches to Learning Outdoors

This report by HM Inspectors of Education in Scotland found that effective outdoor learning contributes to improved outcomes for children and young people. These outcomes include benefits to wellbeing, improved skills such as problem solving and communication, as well as an enhanced understanding of the world in which we live. The inspectors have highlighted six components of practice which when taken together create conditions where learners can experience high quality outdoor learning.
