Parents

Documents for Parents to read.
Browse documents that provide guidance about your role in supporting your child to participate in a visit.  If you also have a role in helping with a visit, for example as an Assistant Leader, please read the documents for that role too.  We have kept these documents to a minimum.  If you do not find what you are looking for, please use the search facility.

Throughout this guidance we use the term “parent(s)” to refer to those parents, legal guardians and others who have parental responsibility for a participant.  If a Parent takes part in a Visit as a member of the leadership team, they will have another role within the supervision arrangements for the visit: care must be taken to ensure that the role of Parent does not conflict with this other role.

You can keep up to date with changes to National Guidance by following the @theoeap twitter feed or liking the Outdoor Education Advisers Panel Facebook page.

If you wish to create a hyperlink to a particular document, you should link to the document’s information page rather than to the document itself – this will mean that you will always be directed to the latest version of the document.  The information page is the page you see when you use the blue information button by a document’s title on a contents page.
